In many films, the supporting actors are so outstanding that they're actually the secret stars. Sometimes it's the same for wallcoverings. It's the single-tone colours for which SHADES has cleared the stage. Mostly, these are seen as essential accessories for a balanced room design, but in this collection they're definitely in the limelight, and rightly so. This is because of their colours and the delicate feel of the surface, which is gently embossed. Every wallcovering looks and feels like finely woven linen. The 41 colours can be wonderfully combined. The various nuances of a single colourway go together, but the wallcoverings also harmonise within the individual colour gradients. This means that the wallcoverings in the collection can be used almost anywhere, and everyone should find it easy to select their favourite colour. All the wallcoverings in the SHADES collection are hot embossed. Temperatures of 200 to 220°C are reached in the “gelling dryer" in which the dyes are heated. Fine structures are then incorporated with a water-cooled steel roller. No other printing process can create precise lines and patterns of this type. The wallcoverings made in this way are also extremely robust.
